APC Accuses ADC of Owing Staff Salaries for Over a Year
The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council has accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of not paying its staff salaries for more than 12 months.
In a statement released on Monday, October 26, 2026 by spokesperson Dele Alake, the council claimed that the ADC National Working Committee, headed by Senator David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, has ignored the needs of its employees.
They called the failure to pay salaries unacceptable, arguing that any political party aiming to lead Nigeria should show it cares about workers’ welfare.
The council also questioned how credible the ADC’s promises to Nigerians are, labeling the party’s leadership as insincere.
Additionally, they criticized former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, whom they identified as the ADC’s presidential candidate, claiming he has a history of not paying his employees in his businesses.
According to the statement, workers at Gotel Communications and other companies linked to Atiku have reportedly gone months without pay and have protested for their unpaid wages and benefits.
The APC council further pointed out Aregbesola’s record regarding workers’ salaries and pension payments during his eight years as governor of Osun State.
They alleged that his administration only made partial salary payments, including quarter and half salaries. Pensioners supposedly went over four years without receiving their dues.
The statement claimed that this failure to fulfill obligations caused significant hardship for workers and pensioners, some of whom reportedly died without having access to basic necessities.
The council expressed no surprise at ADC’s alleged inability to pay its staff, stating that the party’s leadership is unfit to manage the country’s affairs.
They urged Nigerians and workers to reject the ADC, Atiku, and other candidates from the party in the upcoming general elections.
The council argued that a party unable to handle its internal matters or fulfill its responsibilities to its workforce should not be trusted with governing the nation.
