Carloha Nigeria, the authorised distributor of Chery vehicles in Nigeria, has launched the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative, a nationwide emergency roadside assistance programme aimed at providing prompt and professional support to motorists who experience vehicle breakdowns on highways and major roads across the country.

The company said the initiative is designed to deliver free emergency rescue services and reinforce its commitment to providing an exceptional vehicle ownership experience through round-the-clock support.

Under the programme, motorists can access the CarlohaCare Rescue team by calling the dedicated emergency hotline, 07000 667 667. Once a distress call is received, trained rescue personnel are dispatched to assist with a wide range of roadside emergencies, with response times depending on location and road accessibility.

The initiative is an extension of Carloha Nigeria’s award-winning CarlohaCare 6-6-7 after-sales package, which earned the company the Most Outstanding Aftersales Car Company award at the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) Awards. The package includes a six-year manufacturer’s warranty, six years of free scheduled maintenance and a seven-day repair promise that provides customers with a courtesy vehicle if repairs exceed seven working days due to qualifying circumstances.

Speaking on the new programme, Carloha Nigeria’s After-sales Manager, Samson Akinbowale, said the initiative would give customers greater confidence and peace of mind.

“Vehicle breakdowns can occur unexpectedly and often create stressful situations for motorists. With the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative, our customers can enjoy peace of mind knowing that a dedicated team of trained professionals is available around the clock to provide prompt assistance whenever they need it. Beyond rescue operations, we are also offering on-location maintenance support to help reduce downtime for both individual customers and fleet operators,” he said.

Also speaking, the company’s General Manager of Marketing, Felix Mahan, described the initiative as a natural extension of Carloha Nigeria’s customer-focused strategy.

“The CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative is an extension of our vision to provide a superior ownership experience and eliminate the worries that come with vehicle ownership. We want every Chery owner to know that help is always just a phone call away,” Mahan said.

In a move the company described as an industry first in Nigeria, Carloha Nigeria announced that the rescue service would, for a limited period, also be available free of charge to owners of non-Chery vehicles, subject to operational capacity. Chery customers, however, will continue to receive priority during periods of high demand.

According to Mahan, the company is extending the service to support road users beyond its customer base.

“We have the team, the trucks and the expertise. When our rescue fleet has capacity to spare, it is our responsibility to put those resources to work keeping Nigeria’s roads moving, regardless of what brand a stranded motorist drives. By extending these free rescue services to both our clients and users of competing brands, we are demonstrating a firm commitment to elevating overall safety on Nigerian roads,” he said.

In addition to emergency towing, the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative also provides on-location maintenance and technical support for fleet operators and individual customers, subject to applicable service charges. The company said the service is expected to reduce vehicle downtime and minimise unnecessary trips to the workshop.

Motorists requiring assistance can access the service through the dedicated emergency hotline, while updates on coverage areas and service availability will be communicated through Carloha Nigeria’s official website and social media platforms.
