Forum of State Youth Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has debunked claims that luxury SUVs were distributed to its members by the party’s National Youth Leader, Hon. Dayo Israel.

In a formal disclaimer issued Wednesday, the Forum said none of its members across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) received any vehicle.

It described the reports in circulation as entirely false, misleading and unrepresentative of reality.

The youth leaders said they were neither consulted nor informed about any procurement, allocation formula or distribution plan, adding that they only learnt of the development through media reports.

The Forum questioned the rationale for prioritising luxury vehicles over practical empowerment needs of youths.

It said Nigerian youths urgently require business grants, skills acquisition centres, minibuses, motorcycles for local mobility, employment opportunities and small business support.

The Forum therefore demanded an immediate and transparent explanation from Hon. Israel on the identities of any alleged beneficiaries, the reason for excluding the Forum from information on the distribution, and the selection criteria used.

The leaders expressed concern over the alleged use of their names and offices to project empowerment without tangible benefits reaching them.

Despite the concerns, the Forum reaffirmed its loyalty to the APC and its commitment to mobilising young voters for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates in upcoming elections.

It urged members of the party and the general public to disregard the report.
