Dr. Folasade Racheal Airebamen, President and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Institute of Corporate and Public Sector Professionals (ICPSP), led a distinguished delegation of members to London, United Kingdom, for the International Public Sector Professional Conference and Executive Masterclass held from February 22 to 27, 2022.
The high-level international engagement was organized in partnership with the London Centre for Training and Development (LCTD), with activities hosted at its auditorium located at Tower House, Lewisham High Street, London. The conference brought together professionals, institutional leaders, and global stakeholders to advance discussions on governance, leadership, and professional development in the public and corporate sectors.
The ICPSP delegation, led by Dr. Airebamen, included key members such as Olanrewaju Sharafa, Founder and Treasurer of the institute, alongside Ronke Asiru, Adeola Kafila Akapo, Shoyode Adeyinka, and Ademola Akinwunmi Ekene, among others. Their participation underscored the institute’s commitment to strengthening its global presence and fostering cross-border professional exchange.
The conference commenced on February 22 with delegate registration, networking sessions, and a series of masterclass sessions focused on leadership development. A key highlight of the opening day was a session on developing leadership skills to unlock professional potential, followed by the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and the admission of ICPSP members into the Institute of Public Sector Management, United Kingdom, a global body for public sector professionals.
Further sessions addressed critical areas such as healthy lifestyle practices for leaders and professionals, emphasizing the intersection between personal well-being and effective leadership. The structured networking opportunities throughout the day also enabled participants to engage meaningfully with international counterparts.
On the second day, the conference continued with thought-provoking sessions, including curated insights from top TEDx talks, as well as a focused training on digital skills, new media, and cybersecurity—key competencies required for modern leadership and governance. The event concluded with certificate presentations, awards, and a formal dinner, recognizing participants’ commitment to professional growth and excellence.
Speaking during the conference, Dr. Airebamen highlighted the importance of global exposure and continuous learning in shaping effective leaders and institutions.
“Exposure to global standards and best practices equips professionals with the insight and capacity to transform their local environments. This is how institutions grow, and this is how nations develop,” she said.
The engagement also created opportunities for strategic collaboration between ICPSP and international institutions, further strengthening the institute’s capacity to deliver world-class professional training and certification programs. The partnership with LCTD represents a significant step in aligning ICPSP’s objectives with global standards in leadership and governance.
Dr. Airebamen emphasized that the conference was not only about learning but also about building sustainable partnerships and expanding the institute’s international footprint.
“Our vision is to build a globally relevant professional body that continuously invests in its members, fosters ethical leadership, and contributes meaningfully to institutional and societal development,” she added.
Beyond the formal sessions, the delegation engaged in extended networking, collaborative discussions, and cultural exchange activities, reinforcing relationships that are expected to translate into future training programs, partnerships, and professional initiatives.
The London conference marks a significant milestone in ICPSP’s journey under Dr. Airebamen’s leadership, reflecting a strategic focus on global integration, professional excellence, and institutional growth. By participating in international platforms of this scale, the Institute of Corporate and Public Sector Professionals continues to position its members at the forefront of global best practices in governance, leadership, and professional development.
