GTCO appoints Mrs Marie Namias as an Independent Non-Executive Director

Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc has announced the Nigerian Exchange Limited, its shareholders and the general public of the appointment of Mrs Marie Namias as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company. This move reinforces the financial group’s governance architecture and international board profile.

Mrs Namias, a French National, is a seasoned professional with over twenty-five (25) years of experience spanning retail banking, corporate banking, digital banking and strategy consulting. She previously served as a Member of the Executive Board of Caisse d’Epargne Bretagne Pays de Loire (Groupe BPCE), where she led the Retail and Corporate Banking Divisions. She also served as a Director of BRED Espace (Digital Banking) at BRED Banque Populaire and at Eurogroup Consulting and held an advisory role at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance.

Mrs Namias holds a Master of Science in Strategic Management from HEC, a Master of Laws in European Community Law from Universiteit Maastricht and is a graduate of Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).

The approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria has been received for the said appointment.
