According to him, the Shariah law, as practiced in Northern Nigeria, is a humane and rights-based legal tradition that has contributed significantly to global legal civilization.

Mohammed further argued that Shariah law applies only to Muslims, and is guaranteed by the Constitution, and has been recognized by the U.S. Supreme Court and Congress as a respected legal system.

He condemned the attempts to portray Shariah law as a threat to non-Muslims, citing its historical influence on English and American common law, and its role in promoting justice, equity, and due process.

Dan Malikin Bauchi also called for respect, knowledge, and balance in understanding Shariah law, emphasizing its constitutional right, proven record of justice, and contribution to global peace and civilization.

He advised that the christian leaders should find a way of addressing grievances internally, rather than going to the global stage, which he said will not solve the problem.
