Afghanistan’s Supreme Leader Declares “Stage of Victory” Ahead of Eid al-Fitr
Afghanistan’s Supreme Leader, Hibatullah Akhundzada,stated on Monday that the nation has achieved a significant turning point in its transition toward peace. In a congratulatory message released ahead of the Eid al-Fitr festival, he emphasized that the country has moved past its years of conflict.
Specifically, Akhundzada credited the resilience of the population for the current state of the nation, stating that through the sacrifices, patience, and perseverance of the Afghan people, “we have reached the stage of victory, general security, and stability.”
In addition to his remarks on internal progress, the Supreme Leader issued a firm warning to the international community. Moreover, he urged all foreign powers to refrain from interfering in Afghanistan’s domestic affairs. Ultimately, he concluded his message with a call for national unity, particularly asking citizens to support and welcome Afghans currently returning from neighboring countries.
